Meet Dr Angela, APHRA Registered Acupuncturist & HPCE Hypnobirthing Practitioner Childbirth Educator
Hi, I’m Angela. I’m an integrative acupuncturist specialising in women’s health, hormones, fertility and overall wellbeing. I work with women who are wanting to fall pregnant, are undergoing IVF, dealing with cycle dysfunction or have a medically diagnosed condition like endometriosis or PCOS. I help them regulate their cycle, reduce pain in their bodies and gain a better quality of life.
Being an integrative acupuncturist means that I look at many aspects of my clients’ health. This includes assessing bloodwork, doing sperm analysis as well as evaluating the nutritional aspects of their health.
Due to our modern lives, our fast-paced world and the current food system, we’re no longer getting all the nutrients our bodies need, even if we’re eating really healthy food. Ailments and dis-ease in our bodies can be triggered by many different things, which is why I’m passionate about helping my clients get to the root cause of what’s going on in their bodies so they can finally start living better and feeling better.
BEFORE CHINESE MEDICINE
Before studying acupuncture I worked as a business manager for a dental company. It was eye opening, but not what I wanted from life. After signing up to acupuncture I became immersed in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) I fell in love with this modality and live and breath it into all areas of my life. I believe in a holistic and integrative approach, I bring together many modalities that suit my clients’ needs.
MY ACUPUNCTURE STYLE
I took a particular interest in Japanese-style acupuncture called Kiiko Matsumoto and continuously practice this style.
Japanese acupuncture tends to use finer needles that stay ‘surface-level’ which means they don’t go in as deep as they would with Chinese acupuncture. Using the Japanese-style means that there are no needles either. Sessions with me are calm, relaxed and ideal for people who also don’t love the idea of having their peaceful session interrupted with an injection.

Additionally, I hold a Certificate IV in Remedial Massage, Certificate IV in Business Management, Senior First Aid and Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
